FundoPortal help center

Step-by-step guides for creating your school, configuring organization structure, grading, and enrollment. Need a hand? Email [email protected].

Create your school portal

Each school on FundoPortal is its own organization with its own students, staff, structure, and public pages. One registration creates your admin account and links it to a new school.

  1. Go to Sign up (/signup) or choose Get started from the marketing site.
  2. Enter your name, work email, password, school name, country, and phone number.
  3. Submit the form — FundoPortal creates your user (admin) and your school in one step.
  4. You are signed in automatically and taken to the admin dashboard (/).
  5. If prompted, create or select an academic Term (name, year, start and end dates). Terms drive reporting and pass-rate analytics.

Tips

  • Use an email you control long-term; it becomes your admin login.
  • You can invite teachers and add students after your organization structure is set up.

How organization works

Your school is the top-level organization. Everything — students, fees, grades, timetables, and public enrollment — belongs to that school. Admins and managers configure structure; teachers and students access role-specific portals.

  • Organization (sidebar → System) — Departments, levels, classes, terms, subjects, rooms, courses, and grade scales.
  • Students — Add or import learners and assign level and class group.
  • Teachers & Staff — Faculty accounts and subject assignments.
  • Public Settings — School code, custom domain, SEO, and enrollment options.

Levels, classes, departments & courses

Build your academic model before enrolling students at scale. Levels and class groups describe where a learner sits (e.g. Form 3 · 3A). Courses and departments suit colleges and universities; K–12 schools often lean on levels, classes, and subjects.

  1. Open the admin dashboard and select Organization in the sidebar (System section).
  2. Departments — create faculty divisions (e.g. Sciences, Commerce). Required for course-based programs.
  3. Levels — define stages (Form 1, Grade 7, Year 2, etc.). Used when assigning students and for level-based enrollment.
  4. Classes — create class groups (3A, 4B) within your school; link students to a class when adding them.
  5. Subjects — list teachable subjects (Math, English) for timetables and grading.
  6. Courses — for tertiary or course-based intake: name, code, department, duration, and description.
  7. Terms — academic periods (Term 1 2026). Set one as the current term for live reporting.
  8. Rooms — optional rooms for the master timetable.

Tips

  • Configure levels and classes before bulk enrollment so applicants can pick the right program.
  • Courses appear on the public enrollment form when course-based enrollment is enabled in Public Settings.

Grading systems & where to find them

FundoPortal separates grade scales (letter boundaries) from day-to-day marks entry. Default weighting for exams, projects, assignments, presentations, and in-class work is configured at the school level on the API and used in pass-rate analytics.

  1. Grade scales (A, B, C …): Sidebar → Organization → Grade Scales tab. Create scales, set min/max percentages per label, and mark one as default.
  2. Entering marks & assessments: Sidebar → Academics → Grades & Exams. Teachers also enter grades from the teacher portal.
  3. Reports: Sidebar → Records & Awards → Reports uses your scales and term data for summaries.

Tips

  • Set a default grade scale before publishing report cards or term summaries.
  • Teachers need subject assignments (Teachers & Staff) before they can grade their classes.

Public enrollment (prospective students)

Families apply through your public enrollment page. Admins review applications in the dashboard and approve or reject them — approved students can complete registration and receive login credentials.

  1. Sidebar → Public Settings: enable enrollment, choose fields (level, course, documents, etc.), and generate your school code if you have not already.
  2. Share your public URL: https://your-domain/enroll or https://fundoportal.org/{school-code}/enroll
  3. Applicants submit the form; they can check status at /{school-code}/status.
  4. Sidebar → Enrollments: filter pending applications, review details, then Approve (assign student ID) or Reject.
  5. Approved applicants follow the email instructions to finish account setup and sign in to the student portal.

Tips

  • Use About Designer and Public Settings SEO tab so Google can index your about and enroll pages.
  • Enable a custom domain in Public Settings so links match your school brand.
